Summer of 2011 big change at TxR
The summer of 2011 definitely will go down as one to remember in South Texas. But the high temps were not the only thing that 2011 will be remembered for. In the early part of the summer TxR acquired a new building for registration/ concessions/ and rental equipment. The new building, a former annex classroom from Kingwood Independent School District, is 1500+ sq feet, and boasts two central air units. The new registration office also holds the TxR Pro Shop, and paint storage.
Also in the early part of the summer the staging area which had been near the Grant Rd. side of the property was moved to the center of the parking lot area, being flanked by the Playground, and Castle2Castle. We also added ten new picnic tables to the staging area.
With the moving of the staging area and the arrival/ build out of the new registration trailer, Attention was turned to the Air Deck. The entire HPA and Co2 filling operation was moved to the center of the staging area. Set up in a horseshoe design, with 3000psi and 4500psi on opposite sides from each other. We have increased our 3000psi fills to three self service fill stations, and added another 4500psi station bringing us up to two 4500 fill stations with gauges on the fill station.
Our little compressor was barely able to keep up with demand last season, so a search began to find a bigger, better compressor, and we found it! The new compressor is completely rebuilt and 3X’s larger than our old compressor. It boasts a free charge rate of 26 c.f.m. and from all accounts is one of the largest compressors at any paintball field in the southern United States.
Well as you can see we have made a lot of changes to TxR over the summer, hopefully all for a better experience for everyone. We invite you to come see them for yourself. We want this paintball facility to feel like your paintball facility and as always welcome your input.
